Official Contest Rules and Regulations

No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. The act of entering the Contest constitutes acceptance of the Contest Rules and the decisions of the Contest judge.

This contest is sponsored by the Toronto Parking Authority (the "Contest Sponsor"). Contest starts on July 12, 2010 and ends on Sept. 30, 2010 ("the Contest Closing Date").

ELIGIBILITY:

To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be a legal resident of Ontario. Employees and their parents, siblings and children, and persons domiciled with an employee of any of the Contest Sponsors, their agents, parents, affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize Sponsor, and promotional and advertising agencies and administrators, are ineligible to enter.

Eligible Parking Tickets and Receipts:

In order to be eligible for entry into the contest, a Contest entrant must have a ticket or receipt that was purchased from any Green P parking facility or any Green P on-street Pay-and-Display machine, and must have been purchased during the dates of the Contest, being on or after July 12, 2010 and no later than Sept. 30, 2010

TO ENTER:

BONUS ENTRY: Each person that registers on-line will be rewarded with ONE entry into the "Night out with Green P" contest. Once you register you will automatically be given a random number to enter for an instant win prize. This also gives you one entry into the Grand Prize Draw.

ONLINE entry: To enter the Instant Win Contest an eligible entrant should go to www.greenp.com (the "Official Website"). A first-time eligible entrant will be asked to register using his/her first and last name, age, gender, phone number, street address, city/town, province and postal code. Once this has been completed the entrant will be asked to enter a ticket number from a qualifying Green P ticket or receipt. A returning eligible entrant will be asked to simply type in his/her e-mail address and password and a ticket number from a qualifying Green P ticket or receipt. A ticket number can be used only ONCE. There is a maximum limit of three (3) entries per day per household. The ticket number found on Green P parking Tickets and receipts is equal to one (1) entry in the Instant Win Contest and one (1) entry into the Grand Prize Draw.

Each household can win a maximum of three (3) prizes for the duration of the contest. The first three (3) prizes one will be the ones awarded. Only ONE e-mail address per household is allowed. Any contravention of this disallows ALL entries and prizes submitted from and awarded to said household and persons. This condition is in place to maximize the number of different winners and safeguard the integrity of the contest. Any irregularities with regard to tickets entered into the contest will be investigated by the contest sponsor and decisions taken in their sole discretion will be final.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY ENTRY:

The first time you register for the contest you will be given 1 Bonus Entry number (without an actual parking receipt) with which to enter the contest. To request an additional Green P parking receipt without making a qualifying parking purchase, eligible entrants may mail, postage pre-paid, an original request, legibly printed in ink, together with a self-addressed envelope, bearing sufficient postage and their (street address, city/town, province and postal code) legibly and manually printed in ink to:

The Sponsor understands that many public libraries in Canada do offer Internet access on terms adopted by each such library facility.

Instant Win Prize Redemption:

The eligible entrant who has an 'Instant Win' Green P parking receipt or ticket is the potential winner of the Prize revealed, subject to the provisions of these Official Rules including, without limitation, verification of the 'Instant Win' Green P parking Receipt or Ticket purchased from any Green P parking facility or Green P on-street Pay-and-Display machine on or after July 12, 2010 and not after Sept 30, 2010 (the Contest period), and the eligible entrant's compliance with these Rules.

To redeem an 'Instant Win' Prize, a potential winner (or their parent/legal guardians, if a minor) must remit a copy of his/her prize confirmation email (WHICH WILL BE SENT TO YOU IMMEDIATELY UPON WINNING) along with a copy of the winning ticket and a completed Contest Release Form (download link will be provided in the prize confirmation email) within 21 days of notification. In the case of some tickets the front and back of the ticket need to be copied as important information appears on both sides, (all tickets must be maintained by the winner to redeem a grand prize. DO NOT SEND IN ORIGINAL TICKET) Winners must have checked the box on the contest site agreeing to all the rules and regulations of the contest. Failure to do so will cancel that winning ticket. No substitution of prizes will be allowed. Transfer of prizing is not permitted. Exceptions to this transfer rule may be made at the sole discretion of the contest organizer. All decisions of the independent contest-judging organization are final. The chances of being selected depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited. If a selected entrant does not meet all of the contest conditions, another winner will be selected from the other entries received.

All entries become the property of the Toronto Parking Authority (“Sponsor”) and no correspondence will be entered into except with selected entrants who will be notified by mail or telephone. Winners (or their parent(s)/guardian(s) if under the age of majority) by accepting a prize in this contest consent to the use of their name, city of residence, image on videotape and/or photograph without compensation in any future publicity or advertising in any medium carried out by the Sponsors.

The Sponsors reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value and/or to terminate or withdraw or change this contest at any time without prior notice for any reason. Some prizes may have limitations, blackout dates or expiry dates.

It is possible for an Eligible Entrant to win two (2) Prizes, using the same ‘Instant Win’ Green P Parking receipt or ticket, namely: (1) the Prize revealed on the ‘Instant Win’ (each, an ‘“Instant Win” Prize’), and (2) a Grand Prize in the Grand Prize Draw. If this occurs, the potential winner must submit the required redemption documents, or in the mail, whichever is applicable to the ‘Instant Win’ Prize revealed on the Contest website, and must correctly answer a skill-testing question for the Grand Prize, and must comply, in all respects with the Official Rules, for BOTH Prizes. There is a limit of one (1) Grand Prize per household address.

Send To A Friend:

The Eligible Entrant will receive one additional ballot entry into the grand prize draw for each successful and valid email entry. An email entry is determined as successful when the send to a friend email recipient enters the contest with a valid Green P parking ticket number.

Numbers:

The numbers of ‘Instant Win’ Prizes described below (Instant Win Prizes) as being available to be won in the Contest are stated as of the outset of the Contest. The numbers of ‘Instant Win’ Prizes available to be won in the Contest will decrease as the Contest proceeds and potential winners of ‘Instant Win’ Prizes are identified, and the chances of winning a particular ‘Instant Win’ Prize may change as ‘Instant Win’ Prizes are awarded in the Contest. Except where otherwise stated in these Official Rules.

Grand Prize

There are five (5) grand prize packages available to be won, each consisting of a gift certificate for a two night stay at a Toronto Hotel (Westin Harbour Castle Hotel or Le Meridien King Edward Hotel) and a $100 Gift Certificate to dinner for 2 at a Toronto restaurant. Grand Prize Draw

A random draw will be conducted at or about 2:00 pm ET on Oct. 11, 2010 in Toronto, ON, by the independent contest judging organization, from all eligible

The selected entrants will be contacted by mail, e-mail or telephone within five (5) business days of the draw date. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within five (5) business days, he/she will be disqualified and a new random draw from the remaining eligible entries will be conducted to select another entry and the process noted above will be repeated until five (5) selected entrants have been contacted or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first.

Card has a $400.00 value and is valid for one calendar month starting on the first day of any month. The Fast Track Card is an all in one convenience card that provides you with instant access to over 170 Green P parking facilities and all on-street parking at Green P Pay-and-Display machines. This card is only valid at Toronto Parking Authority on-street and off street facilities.

Instant Win Prize packages must be accepted as awarded, are non-refundable, non-transferable and are not convertible to cash.

By accepting a prize, each winner releases and agrees to hold the Contest Sponsor, its directors, employees, officers and agents, including without limitation their advertising and promotion agencies and the independent contest judging organization, harmless from any and all liability, loss or damage incurred with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, and/or use or misuse of any prize.

No responsibility will be taken for any failure of the web site during the promotion or for any problems or technical malfunction of a telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail, on-line, or Internet entry to be received by the Contest Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.

In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the “authorized account holder”. That is the person in whose name the Internet service or text message service is registered, provided that person meets all eligibility criteria set forth in the Eligibility section of these Official Contest Rules and Regulations. “Authorized Holder” shall mean the natural person assigned to the email by an Internet service provider, on-line service provider, phone company, mobile phone service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Contest Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual (and all of his or her entries) who tampers with the entry process.

FORCE MAJEURE

Subject to any governmental approval which may be required, the Sponsor reserves the right, without prior notice and at any time, to terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, or modify, suspend or extend the Contest in any way, if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Contest is impaired or corrupted or that fraud or technical problems, failures or malfunctions (including, without limitation, computer viruses, glitches, or printing or production errors) have destroyed or severely undermined the proper play, integrity, and/or feasibility of the Contest. In the event the Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that it is prevented from continuing with the Contest as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control, including but not limited to fire, flood, natural or man-made epidemic or health hazard or crisis, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity whether real or apprehended, war (declared or undeclared) or any federal, Provincial, or local government law, order, or regulation, public health crisis (e.g. SARS), the order of any court or jurisdiction, or by any other cause not reasonably within the Sponsor’s control (each a “Force Majeure event”), then subject to any governmental approval which may be required, the Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, extend or terminate the Contest. If the Contest is terminated, in whole or in part, before the designated end date, the Sponsor will select winners (or the remaining winners, as the case may be) in a random drawing from all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the date of the Force Majeure event. Only the type and quantity of Prizes described in these Official Rules will be awarded.

GOVERNING LAW

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations as between Eligible Entrant and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed and interpreted in accordance with the internal laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, including procedural provisions, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws. All Eligible Entrants, the Sponsor, and all other parties hereby adhere to the jurisdiction of the courts of that Province, sitting in the City of Toronto, Ontario, in respect of the determination of any matter or dispute arising under or in respect of the Contest or these Official Rules and agree that any such determination shall be brought solely and exclusively before such courts in the Province of Ontario.

Personal Information: Toronto Parking Authority is committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information collected from you in the course of this Contest will be subject to Toronto Parking Authority’s Privacy Policy posted on the Website. Personal information will be disclosed to and used by the Released Parties for the purpose of administering the Contest in accordance with these Official Rules, administering warranties, or where required or permitted by law.
